There are two things in life I will never grow tired of: authentic couples and sunrise in Central Park. This session has both! I first met Jordyn and Dan through our mutual friend Jessica Perkal. After Facetime chatting about their December New York City wedding, I knew we were a perfect fit. These two are extremely genuine people and I know that their wedding day will be a reflection of the kind, easy-going people that they are!
Today I want to talk about something that changed the way I shoot weddings: a styling board. When I first realized I could bring my own props to weddings to make styling details a cinch, it blew my MIND. Why wasn't I doing this sooner?! I now travel with envelopes, stamps, Mrs. Boxes and ribbon to every wedding I shoot. But what makes it all come together is a Styling Board.
I just adore couples that talk about pizza and their animals. Molly and Dan were a blast to hang out with at their engagement session at the Lincoln Memorial. They had just gotten a new puppy named Jake so naturally, labs were a big topic of conversation. The weather was stunning so, naturally, we had to get creative with the tourists around at sunset but these two were troopers waiting for the right moment to snap these images!
