This wedding was the perfect kind of intimate. If I could shoot brunch weddings all year long I would! Bianca and Brian pledged their lives to one another in front of friends and family in a small service in their chapel next to the National Cathedral. The UCC Church is a big part of their lives as is the lord. Brian has committed his life to serving God and Bianca grounds herself in that faith as well. She is a teacher from my hometown of South Florida but also worked at the very cathedral where we snapped wedding images!

Bianca prepared for her wedding day at the couples’ shared home in Chevy Chase. Although she was anxious with anticipation, she knew once she saw Brian, she would feel at ease. The two opted not to have their first look photographed. They wanted a real authentic moment away from the cameras which I adored! Sometimes we get so caught up in photographs that we forget to focus on our emotions and the moment at hand. After family formals and wedding portraits, we drove next door to the ceremony site. The couple said “I Do” and requested an image of the entire wedding before they walked down the aisle! How fun! All reception treats were made by Brian’s mom and the pair walked out to an exit of lavendar and ribbon wands. I wish them a lifetime of happiness and love!
