You may not believe it but this is the SECOND puppy announcement shoot I have done in my career. Some might think that hiring a professional photographer for your pet is “extra” but actually I think it celebrates some of the best moments in your everyday life! Pets (especially doggos) become such a huge part of your family that I think it is sweet to commemorate their childhood with some quality images!

Eleanor is a pure bred French Bulldog that belongs to my past clients/college friends Lori & Cale. I snapped their engagement session last year so I was honored when they asked me to capture this stage in their lives in their home together as husband and wife. This session felt so organic. Lori and Cale were in their loungey weekend clothes when we opened a bottle of champagne and snapped some natural images of their typical Sunday (with a little extra flare at the end for Ellie’s close up). Here are my favorites from my morning with the Gosnells.

This year, I've already accomplished one of my major goals. I got to partner with @ascotdiamondsdc to shoot my favorite products in the world: diamond rings 💍 I was super inspired by one of my favorite photogs @josevilla and his shoot for @the_mrs_box! I am so honored that Ascot Diamonds now use my imaging in their marketing! Look out 2018, more editorial shoots, here I come. 💕
I'm so thrilled to be able to blog this wedding! When I was studying photography in college, I actually spent a summer in New York working for Vh1 photo and hoping that one day I could do a glamorous shoot inside some fabulous chic building. It may have taken me 10 years to get here, but it was totally worth the wait. Jordyn & Dan's Metropolitan Building wedding is on the blog this morning!

WHAT A PAIR. This was my first photo session in Cuba and I was like a kid in a candy store. Ishak & Felix's natural love and vibrancy set the tone for the whole trip. We snapped these at sunrise before their trip to Paris (which was the first time on a plane out of Cuba for @palmero.felix!). Their infectious smiles and kind spirits shine through in these portraits. I can't wait to share more of their street session on the blog soon! 💕
Yesterday, I shared some of my personal film work on Facebook. This gem was captured on 35mm film during my trip to New Orleans. 💕I was recently inspired to do more personal photography by an artist friend (@lisamnicchi) who told me that I follow way to many wedding photographers online. I had never thought about it before but my photo work is typically driven by my business. In our short conversation, Lisa inspired me to capture things around me that really light my fire. In 2018 I've vowed to do more personal work & not just document the legacy of others, but my own as well.
I've spent a large chunk of my week editing the 3 sessions and all the personal work that I shot while abroad. 🇨🇺 It's so funny how different your life can look in a week. Seven days ago, I was riding in the back of a hot pink vintage Cadillac convertible and this week I'm hiding in my office with my fur babies tweaking my memories via Lightroom. The variety of life certainly has me in awe.
