Oh my goodness. I had the best Sunday ever with these two. Just look at this kiss! Swoon. After meeting Caroline in Sweet Green a month back, I knew we would be fast friends. She was exactly my speed: fun, sweet & cared about all the right things when discussing her wedding. When chatting with her, you immediately feel as if you have known her forever, and the same can be said of Bryce! The first day we met we were already chatting Jeeps and exchanging texts. I cannot wait for their 2017 wedding next fall.

Caroline & Bryce met their Freshman year at Christopher Newport. From her Freshman dorm, Caroline followed her creative spirit and started making tie-die T-shirts; Bryce happened to be her first customer! Although they used to be just dorm rooms away, the pair are now currently dating long distance. Directly after their engagement pictures, the two got in separate cars and drove away. Although the distance makes things tough, the two were thrilled when I sent back the gallery. Caroline said, “If it’s possible, I think the photos made us fall even more in love!” As a wedding photographer, there are no better possible words to hear. I hope these photos serve as little reminders of their commitment to one another in the year leading up to “I do”.

What makes this wedding extra special is that I get to shoot it on my birthday! When I told the pair this fun fact the first response was, “Oh my gosh are you sure?! We don’t want to make you work on your birthday!” This just shows how truly thoughtful this pair is. They’re getting married and thinking about ME. Unreal. It sounds cheesy but the best birthday gift is being able to do what I love and capture this amazing couple on their special day.

If that wasn’t enough, Caroline showed up with a little present for me! “We’re gift people,” she said while handing me an adorable bag of goodies. Dream clients? Why yes! To top it off, we had the PERFECT light. The session was dreamy and I am so thrilled that Caroline suggested this location. She even joked that everyone in high school had taken their senior pictures here and, when shooting, we actually ran into at least 6 other family photographers! I can see why. I know their Labor Day Weekend wedding will be just as magical. 13 months can’t go by fast enough! Here are a few of my favorite shots from our sunset engagement session on the field:
