Some couples just emanate authenticity. The second I met Colby and Nick, I knew that they were true original sweethearts. The entire day, it was impossible to capture Colby without a massive grin all over her face. These two are extremely devoted to one another. Both families are so extremely wonderful, warm and welcoming that I felt right at home amongst their huge bridal party!
Their friends and family mean the world to Colby and Nick. Truthfully, there were many tears at this joyous event. Handwritten notes, solemn prayers and heartfelt speeches were ever present throughout the day. People often forget that weddings are not only a time for celebration but a serious vow of two people pledging forever. I want to thank these two for reminding me was love and commitment looks like through thick and thin.
One thing is for certain, children played a HUGE role in their day. Not only did their ceremony incorporate heaps of kids but even the priest joked about how many kids Colby and Nick want (almost immediately!). They are both wonderful, family oriented people that I know they are sure to make excellent parents.
Their reception was a dream to capture. It took place on the multi-level National Museum of Women in the Arts and every corner was breath taking. I was so honored to shoot this special day alongside Vanessa Smith Photography. I think we made quite the dream team on this 105 degree day! I adore being her second and cannot wait until she co-shoots a wedding with me in a few short weeks! Here are some of my favorite shots from the day!
