This minimalist wedding blew my mind. When Charlotte described her DIY wedding, I couldn’t quite picture it to be honest. All bridesmaids were allowed to choose their own dresses (regardless of color or cut), the bride made all the bouquets, Nana made the cake and Charlotte even found her dress in a thrift store! This wedding came together BEAUTIFULLY. Everyone had an incredible time and the day seemed effortless, fun and authentically them.
I’ve known the bride since our high school swimming days so it was so special to see her marry the love of her life in the Winter Park mountains. While Charlotte is from Florida and went to college at Dartmouth, the Schwappachs are from Colorado so it was an awesome way to honor the groom’s side of the family. These two found B Lazy 2 Ranch and fell in love with the views of the Rockies. They said pledged their lives to one another beneath a macramé arbor and danced under a white tent in an open field. Joe & Charlotte’s portraits are some of my favorites of the year! They trusted me enough to play with some film on their wedding day as well! Below are my favorite shots that tell the story of their day.
