DC Weddings Allison and Andrew were some of the easiest clients I have ever worked with. Their families were lovely and these two planned a wedding with a ton of moving parts with very little snags! Allison got ready at the Darcy Hotel before sharing a first look at Meridian Hill park. We did all of their portraits outside during DC winter; they braved the cold and it was well worth it! Their family and friends joined them in the park for some pictures and fun before hopping in a bus to Saint Sophia’s deep in the city. This stunning church was breathtaking and provided lovely dramatic views from the balcony! They shared in Greek traditions such as the holding of candles and the wearing of crowns. I loved the cultural infusion of tradition in their day. Allison and Andrew hosted their wedding reception at Congressional Club in Washington, DC. This historic building was only recently opened to weddings this year! The picture of Allison’s reaction to the final reception room was one of my favorite snaps of the day. These two got to spend some alone time during cocktail hour and danced the night away in the beautiful ballroom tucked away in the district. Here are my favorite snaps from the day!
