This is probably one of my favorite sessions of the year so sorry for the oversharing! Daniel is actually technically my nephew (although he is our age). He and Jill got engaged this past year and started planning their chic DC wedding. Like all 2020 couples, COVID reared its ugly head and threw their plans off course. Instead of letting this get them down, they are going ahead with their wedding as planned in September but with a handful of guests. They intended to drive up to NYC, where their love story began, to have their engagement portraits taken but since travel is ill advised, we decided to take portraits in their DC apartment and then take their boat out on the Severn. Jill has such an amazing eye for design that it was easy to make this session look chic. Even their pup was a model! We headed to Maryland and spent the day on the boat chatting, snacking and drinking with these soonly-weds and it got me so excited for their wedding day! Jill was a champ even after she got stung by a jellyfish and parked the boat like a champ. What a captain. Here are my favorite snaps from or afternoon together.
