2025 A Year In Review | DMV Wedding Photographer

What a season. A deeply memorable wedding year- my first as a parent. This year, our team captured 30 weddings: I shot 21 personally and Abby captured 9. While this is a record low for my business, I have never been happier. Looking back at the last 9 years on these posts, taking less and living more seems to be the trend for me and I am all about it.

In early February, I welcomed my son Pierce Campbell Tuben. 2025 will always be a year I remember because baby P is the best. I won’t wax poetic about motherhood on here but overall, it’s a gas. I made the decision to slow down with travel & my business but I still very much feel fulfilled by my job while adding this new dimension to my home life. This year of bath times, baby shoes and sing-a-longs has been a joy I didn’t expect and I have also cherished my time photographing couples in love as a much savored kindling to the fires of my personal passions outside of raising a blue eyed, 99% baby boy.

In addition to raising the world’s largest baby, I was able to capture 21 sessions, 3 commercial shoots, Bridal Fashion Week in NYC, and an Influencer Trip for the Knot in Maine. I traveled to Kiawah, Palm Beach, Boston and four Virginia excursions (Lake Anna, girls’ cabin weekend, VA Beach & our Charlottesville anniversary).

This upcoming season will be my tenth year in the wedding industry. I am extremely lucky to have hit a decade doing what I love while working for myself. I still can’t believe where I am today and it is all thanks to the humans (past and present) in posts like these. Thank you to my clients. While I am taking fewer and fewer weddings each year, my passion and dedication remains steadfast… and for the foreseeable future: I will see ya on the dance floor, camera in hand.
