M & C originally planned a wedding in the bride’s home country: Turkey! With the pandemic happening, travel seemed out of the question but they didn’t want COVID to hold up their wedding plans. These two met at Georgetown and have actually been dating long distance for 6 years! I wouldn’t want to wait any longer either! They decided to get married at Historic Tudor Place & Gardens in the heart of DC right near where their love story began. These two could not stop smiling all day long, even in the DC heat. We began with a stroll around the monuments. They met me at the DC War Memorial and even took some snaps near Lincoln. We then traveled to the Tudor House for their intimate garden wedding on the front lawn. They streamed the event so the bride’s friends and family in Turkey could attend virtually. The observed the Turkish tradition of the ‘footstep’ right before the first kiss. They had handwritten vows & a beautiful cake cutting that made this a dreamy afternoon. Here are some of my favorite snaps from their garden elopement.
