Lauren & Robbie were probably my favorite wedding of the year. Not only because they were the sweetest, most genuine couple to work with but also because they fed into my Halloween obsession. If I could plan a wedding to photograph, this would have been it. I was obsessed with every last detail from their back story down to their décor choices.

Their wedding was a stunning rustic fall affair at Virginia’s Murray Hill. Much of the wedding details, they did themselves. Lauren wore a dress and veil made by her grandmother. She even sewed a little pocket for gloves or a hankie in the skirt. The garter was also Lauren’s something borrowed and blue as it belonged to her mother who had the honor of putting it on the morning of her wedding to Robbie. The groom is a super talented creative and hand-drew the Save the Dates and surprised Lauren with a puppy Halloween card before they said “I do.” Even the wedding guests dressed in the themed maroon colors!

Their intimate ceremony was hosted over the cliffside of the manor house. After the ceremony, Lauren and Robbie led a lantern lit walk to the reception in the barn. This incredible couple infused spooky elements into their Hallo-wedding: the aisles were lined with pumpkins, they had a candy bar complete with candy eyeballs, and the two even had a dress up photo booth with Halloween props for everyone.

The second Lauren put on a cat mask and Robbie threw in some fake Vampire teeth, I knew I was in Halloween-heaven. Other elements like the bourbon bar, deep red florals and maroon decor were not so spooky but definitely fall-chic. Their guest book was a polaroid camera, the two shared their first dance to Elvis and Mr. & Mrs. Muse left their wedding by nighttime bubble exit! #ANewMuse is a wedding I will never forget and I am so so excited to share this with you today! Congrats to this breathtaking couple. May your lives be as wonderful as the day you got married.
