This couple definitely embodies my ideal clientele. They are a “true, authentic couple” and I was honored to be a part of their day. Amy and Craig said “I do” and broke the glass at an intimate wedding ceremony at the Woodend Nature Sanctuary this July! Also known as the Audubon Naturalist Society, this wedding venue is perfect for a couple that loves the outdoors. Given that Amy & Craig are active hikers, runners and bikers, this location was a no brainer!

I met this darling couple through Ellese and Dave. We had been talking about a couples’ trip for awhile. Since we’re both avid hiking couples and have Instagram husbands, Ellese and I thought it would be super fun to go to Banff and explore the Rockies. Little did she know, it was actually for her own proposal! Weeks before the trip, Ashley, Dave and I would text about our secret plans. It already felt like Ashley and I were partners in crime so it was easy for us to play our part in sneakily surprising Ellese

This wedding was the perfect kind of intimate. If I could shoot brunch weddings all year long I would! Bianca and Brian pledged their lives to one another in front of friends and family in a small service in their chapel next to the National Cathedral. The UCC Church is a big part of their lives as is the lord. Brian has committed his life to serving God and Bianca grounds herself in that faith as well. She is a teacher from my hometown of South Florida but also worked at the very cathedral where we snapped wedding images!

I adored working with Naghmeh and Saman on their wedding day. Both the bride and groom knew the value of an authentic wedding. They also completely trusted me to capture their special day to the best of my abilities. The first shot featured here is actually taken in a parking lot during golden hour! Who would have guessed!

Abby & Sam’s story is one of my absolute favorites. Abby, the Olympic diver and Sam, a talented collegiate athlete himself, both met at Duke. She attends Duke medical school and Sam is the Duke assistant football coach so it stands to reason that these two would meet on campus no? Wrong! Actually, these two met through a kismet accident. At Duke, you are issued a school ID. As luck or fate would have it, Abby seemed to have lost her Duke ID somewhere on campus. Sam, being the observant guy that he is, happened to stumble upon said ID and sent this modern day damsel-in-distress an email. He not only returned her ID but asked her on a date as well!

This was a very emotional wedding for me. I have known Alyssa since we were about 6 years old. I used to go over to her house to bounce on her trampoline and dance to Brittany Spears. We were even in Girls Scouts together! When she asked me to photograph her wedding, I was extremely honored and so supremely excited that I had dreams about it for months!

When Eddie of Jalapeño Photography reached out looking for a couple to model for a film shoot, we couldn’t wait to jump in front of the camera!

There aren’t words for how much I adored this wedding. Erin and Jonathan are a one in a million couple. They cared about all the right things on their wedding day: family, friends and good times. I snapped their engagement portraits at the Lincoln Memorial and we had a blast, even at sunrise. Jonathan is the brother of one of my best friends and Erin is his perfect counterpart. Both the Rays and the McKennas are incredible families and I felt honored to capture the joining of their families!
