Pam and Tom had one of the most heartfelt weddings of the year. This couple didn’t care about any of the pomp and circumstance of a big production. The two just wanted an intimate ceremony with family and close friends. Arguably, this is what every wedding should be about. I felt extremely honored that they let me capture their love and take a peek into their lives.

Evening Beth El Wedding | Pam and Tom

Kate and Jordan were the sweetest couple. When I look back on their wedding I will immediately think of first looks that made me tear up! Kate did a first look with Jordan and also her father! Both men in her life cried at the sight of this stunning woman in their lives.

Inn at The Old Silk Mill Wedding | Kate and Jordan

It’s not every day that your best friend gets married. Lara and I sat next to each other in Mr. Hock’s freshman Biology class. We were probably the only 2 people both wearing some shade of pink and listened to Relient K. Needless to say, we became fast friends. Although we are very different people (she’s the Betty to my Veronica), we’ve remained close for over a decade. We would get together on holiday breaks form school and even met up for weekly lunches when we were both doing glamorous internships in New York City. It only made sense that we would get married months apart.

Flagler Museum Wedding | Bridesmaid’s Files

Let’s talk about color. A lot of brides start wedding planning with a single color. A whole day can be built around a theme or “color story”. Many brides select the same color again and again making them a classic. Navy and blush, for example, are wedding classics because they deliver clean beauty time and time again. However, new brides are starting to stray from tradition. Sequins, florals and mixing shades are the new trend in bridal!

Sequin Gold Bridesmaid Style | Arizona Buttes Wedding

This wedding was the most unique of the season! Morgan and Jeff did everything they wanted to do their way for their day. They decided that the most important part of a wedding day is celebrating their love with the people that support them most: their closest friends and family. They tied the knot on a super moon Sunday this November at Woodend Nature Sanctuary in Washington, DC. Even the venue was intentionally in theme. Morgan and Jeff had a green wedding: all vendors and products were environmentally friendly. They ever had Vegan treats by The Red Bandana baking company!

Details are such an important part of your wedding. Even if you don’t plan them as part of your photo story, there are little things you have probably been dreaming of including in your wedding. Some people naturally know what every detail of their wedding will look like: the invitations, the flowers, the jewelry etc. But other brides (like yours truly) need some inspiration from others from time to time.

Arizona Elopement Inspiration | Nikki & Chris

This was by far the best portrait session of my life. Not only was the weather and lighting to die for but Dylan and McKenzie were sheer perfection. I loved everything about this couple and this style. The dress was perfect for flowing movement pictures and truth be told, my own husband is growing a man bun so you can’t imagine how much I loved Dylan’s style.

Arizona Elopement Inspiration | Mackenzie & Dylan

This wedding was very special to my heart. Jordan and Gus have been long time partners and had been planning to get married for quite some time. They share a home together with their four adorable cats! With the recent political climate in our nation’s capital they decided to have a civil service as soon as possible.

Christmas Wedding | Gus & Jordan

One major thing you should know about me is that I love cacti. I have multiple articles of clothing with cactus prints, I had succulent name cards at my wedding and I traveled all the way to Arizona to make dang sure I got bridal portraits with cactus. Thanks to Ashley Knolla, that dream came true.

Cactus Inspired Wedding | Elopement Inspiration

Lauren & Robbie were probably my favorite wedding of the year. Not only because they were the sweetest, most genuine couple to work with but also because they fed into my Halloween obsession. If I could plan a wedding to photograph, this would have been it. I was obsessed with every last detail from their back story down to their décor choices.
