Ashley and Nissim had a darling summer wedding on one of the first nice days in August. They threw a Sunday brunch wedding at Airlie Gardens in Warrenton, VA that was full of sunshine and blue grass music. They shared a first look in the gardens behind the main building before signing their ketubah with […]

From start to finish, Jesse and Haley were a dream to work with. Their engagement session launched a litany of clients wanting Cherry Blossom engagement photos so I can’t imagine all the requests for elements from this wedding day. From this couple’s amazing style to Haley’s insane organization skills cultivated from working in the wedding […]

The second Kailey inquired, I knew she was the bride for me. This gal is a vlogger, chic fashionista and has the same taste in movies (SO many Notebook references made on wedding day). She and Ryan were high school sweethearts and Ryan knew from their very first phone conversations that Kailey was the one. […]

Brian and Rachel tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at Great Marsh Estate this May and I cannot handle how perfectly the day went. I don’t like using the word perfect because I feel like it devalues the word as it gets used too frequently, but this wedding you guys!!!! Rachel & Brian were cool as cucumbers all day because they have known this day would come since they met in ELEVENTH GRADE. Their families were incredible, their friends looked like models but were extremely helpful and kind.

Lauren & Greg had a vision to take portraits all around D.C. and did they ever! We started the day one of the district’s most historic hotels: The Willard. Greg and his guys snapped pictures out front while Lauren and her gals were at Cafe Du Parc. The whole gang then took a ride to Georgetown’s Chapel where these two would tie the knot followed by family formals and portraits on the lawn. The final stop was DAR Constitution Hall where their reception was flawless!

Kelly & David’s elopement was a breath of fresh air. There were 15 people in attendance (including myself) but their love filled the entire historic garden. Kelly got ready with the women in her life at the Four Seasons in Georgetown before first seeing her groom at the Tudor Place Historic House & Garden.

Callie & Stephen were the sweetest clients! These cuties were my 5th session of cherry blossom week and they got the perfect light. Callie had seen my cherry blossom engagement sessions online and reached out for their very own springtime photos. They wanted two different looks so we traveled to the Smithsonian gardens to see the magnolias in bloom afterwards.

I first met Katie & Jake in my living room! I usually never do in person consultations but this pair knew it was such a big decision that they wanted to meet face to face… even Katie’s parents tagged along! As we sat in my condo, we immediately clicked, all 5 of us! The easy jokes and classic wedding plans were as if I was in a dream.

As a Florida gal, it was no surprise that I was in love with Paradise Found. This Pantone concept embraced tropical. This palate encourages bright colors, vibrant hues and palm leaves galore. Coastal brides can easily make this theme work but I was happy to see it come alive in Washington DC! Summer is kickin’ with this tropical bar.

Stroke of Midnight had an extremely elegant color scheme. I also LOVED this shoot because it prominently featured a same-sex couple. I think representation is SO important in the wedding industry so when a national company like Pantone or Wedding Wire elects to create an editorial with two grooms, it makes me incredibly happy. We had an absolute blast while shooting in the Something Vintage warehouse. The entire setting was paradise for any photographer.
