After having shot Adam and Anna at their proposal, engagement and now wedding… there’s a hole left in my heart knowing I don’t know when I’m photographing them again! I adored your packed-with-style intimate Thursday wedding. Congratulations on making it official darlings! This was one of my favorite weddings possibly ever. Allie and Bryce tied the knot at Yours Truly hotel and it was magic. Funky florals, record inspired place settings and every event in one space made this one easy and fun! Check out their feature on Carats and Cake (https://caratsandcake.com/wedding/allie-and-bryce) and my favorites below! Can’t […]

Meridian house is probably my favorite wedding venue in DC. It is in the heart of the district but it feels like you’re in Europe. MC and Bill had an intimate church wedding in spring before heading to Meridian for cocktails, dinner and dancing. Effortless elegance was the theme for their spring DC wedding and […]

Ashley and Nissim had a darling summer wedding on one of the first nice days in August. They threw a Sunday brunch wedding at Airlie Gardens in Warrenton, VA that was full of sunshine and blue grass music. They shared a first look in the gardens behind the main building before signing their ketubah with […]

The second Kailey inquired, I knew she was the bride for me. This gal is a vlogger, chic fashionista and has the same taste in movies (SO many Notebook references made on wedding day). She and Ryan were high school sweethearts and Ryan knew from their very first phone conversations that Kailey was the one. […]

Brian and Rachel tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at Great Marsh Estate this May and I cannot handle how perfectly the day went. I don’t like using the word perfect because I feel like it devalues the word as it gets used too frequently, but this wedding you guys!!!! Rachel & Brian were cool as cucumbers all day because they have known this day would come since they met in ELEVENTH GRADE. Their families were incredible, their friends looked like models but were extremely helpful and kind.

Renee and Eric are my ideal clients. They are game for almost any photo suggestion, are madly in love and are cute as hell. These two wanted classic DC photos before heading off to tie the knot in Mexico! Eric works a lot near the capitol and is very into visual arts so was super involved in the creative process which I LOVED! These guys had a clear vision and it was a JOY executing it!

Kelly & David’s elopement was a breath of fresh air. There were 15 people in attendance (including myself) but their love filled the entire historic garden. Kelly got ready with the women in her life at the Four Seasons in Georgetown before first seeing her groom at the Tudor Place Historic House & Garden.

I first met Katie & Jake in my living room! I usually never do in person consultations but this pair knew it was such a big decision that they wanted to meet face to face… even Katie’s parents tagged along! As we sat in my condo, we immediately clicked, all 5 of us! The easy jokes and classic wedding plans were as if I was in a dream.

Today I want to share a less glamorous part of my job: behind the scenes. I have to admit, on wedding day… I WORK. I sweat, I run, I sometimes trip and fall. But I will pretty much go to any lengths to get the perfect images for my couples. Every year, I create a folder of behind the scenes images from my second shooters. This year, I decided to share some of my favorites. While I don’t look my most glamorous on the job, you can see the joy my work brings me in almost every image.
