Nuffy and Chris had a fabulous destination wedding at the very northern point of Michigan. In fact, we were so far north that the sunset was at 9:30PM- a photographer’s dream. Welp, I finally got to work with East Made Co and all of my expectations were exceeded! This dream team put together this Monet editorial like it came from my dreams. This year was surreal. I built my business in ways I never thought possible. I photographed 29 weddings, 61 engagement & lifestyle sessions, 10 boudoir sessions, 2 proposals and 21 mini sessions. I traveled to abroad to Cuba, Tulum, Montreal, cruised Alaska and slept in a car in the Great American West.

When Ben and I wrote down our travel bucket list, I thought this one would never happen. I’ve always felt cruises were for old people and families AND I never thought I would have a week in summer when BOTH of us would have time off. Welp, the stars aligned and got to go on our first solo vacation in nearly two years! I can’t tell you how much we needed this vacation. We detoxed, got couples massages, gained some perspective on our future goals as a team and ordered a hell of a lot of room service. I’m came back feeling recharged, at peace and more in love than ever. I thought I would leave Alaska feeling inspired by nature and while that may also be true, what surprised me about this trip was how much I missed hanging with my number one.

I met Katie about 3 years back through an amazing mutual friend: Jess Perry. As with a great number of my friendships, swimming is involved. Katie grew up in New England swimming as did my former college roommate so it only stood to reason that once Jess got engaged, all of her worlds would collide. Katie and I became fast friends through that year and I always seemed to run into her an Bryan at weddings! After the two met at Tuck business school and dated for the years after, everyone would say “When are you two getting engaged?”

Last year, I made a Destination Photography Bucket List on the blog. This year, I looked back on it to see if I had made any progress. I shot 8 of the 20 locations on the list! Not half bad for a year! After a full calendar year had past, I was inspired by my journey to look ahead to new travel and reevaluate the list! Some remained on the list and a few new venue-related locations popped up. Here it is folks!
