Photo Booths are one of my favorite trends right now. I think almost every wedding and party deserves its own little booth. It makes guests feel as though they have their own little paparazzi.

Here are my 5 tips for DIY Photo Booths

  • Good Lighting

You don’t need a flash or professional lighting if natural you have a place with great natural light! Direct light is the best source. Pick a place where the lighting doesn’t change. You want consistency in your pictures!

  • Tri-pod + Positioning

You need your camera to stay in the same position. Make sure the shortest person and tallest person can fit in the frame.

  • Pose Prompts

Some people get shy in front of a camera with no direction! Feel free to call out a pose. some of my favorites are “Be Silly” “Serious” “Surprised” “Sexy”. Count to 3 so they have no time to think!

  • Adorable Background

People are more likely to jump in front of a camera if there is a cute backdrop and your area is well defined. You can even use cute wrapping paper if you are short on cash!

  • Props!

Find some easy DIY props. A chalk board, silly hats or mustaches make people want to get involved. Michaels and Target has the best cheap items!
