Happy Spring everyone! I kicked off this spring season with the nuptials of Wayne and Sophie. These crazy kids have known each other since high school! They have a deep love that is overwhelmingly supported by their families. It was a joy to capture their day.
Wayne and Sophie honored her Cambodian heritage by dressing in traditional garb before their ceremony. They also performed a flower pinning ceremony. This tradition is a way to honor the guests by welcoming them to the event and pinning a small flower to their chest as they greet the bride and groom.
I think this welcoming tradition got some of the pre-wedding nerves out of the way. Right after the pinning, the couple stole a minute for a portrait in their first wedding ensemble of the day. Honoring family tradition was a very sweet part of the day that they will cherish forever.
It quickly became time for the couple to get suited up for the “I Do’s”! Their day was all about togetherness and celebrating love. They would rather have spent the day getting ready together and sharing moments with family than worry about the small details! True love was all around.
These friends like to have a good time! The matrimony of two people also means the blending of their family and friends. This group was already fast friends. It was great to see the brides gals and grooms guys cut loose and have a fun time.
I guess snow on your wedding day truly does mean good luck! Congratulations to the happy couple!
