This couple definitely embodies my ideal clientele. They are a “true, authentic couple” and I was honored to be a part of their day. Amy and Craig said “I do” and broke the glass at an intimate wedding ceremony at the Woodend Nature Sanctuary this July! Also known as the Audubon Naturalist Society, this wedding venue is perfect for a couple that loves the outdoors. Given that Amy & Craig are active hikers, runners and bikers, this location was a no brainer!
Amy got ready with her girls at the Omni hotel near Woodley Park. We even got to snap a few bridal portraits on their veranda out back! When the time came for the first look, we were lucky enough to have even light and cloud coverage before the rain really came down! A little down pour didn’t stop Amy & Craig from having a gorgeous wedding. Just before ceremony time, the clouds parted and the sun came out just in time! The couple was toasted by family and friends before the dance party began. As a surprise for Amy, Craig arranged for an unannounced break dance performance during which he would join in!! I wish them a lifetime of adventure and happiness together! Check out my favorites from their day below.
