If you had told me a few years back that I would be photographing an engagement session just feet away from my childhood home, I would’ve called you crazy. But LIFE is crazy, not us! When my super fun Richmond couple Lauren and Zach told me that they were moving to South Florida I was super excited. I then became ecstatic when they told me they chose DELRAY BEACH.. MY HOMETOWN! After debating Virginia locations for their engagement session Lauren finally asked “why don’t we just do a Florida engagement session?”

We woke up super early to snap sunrise beach photos at the end of Atlantic Avenue (the very beach I used to hang out at in high school). We strolled up and down the Ave and I gave them a super nostalgic, and I’m sure somewhat overkill tour, of the streets best assets. We ended with outdoor brunch and hangs at their new apartment. I am counting the minutes until their Richmond wedding and can’t wait until we can hit up Delray together again! Here are my favorite snaps form the morning.
