It’s a little surreal to be posting this because I have actually known this bride for over a decade. Devin and I used to swim together and “grew up” on Atlantic Ave, a street that runs through Delray Beach. I was over the moon when she got engaged and couldn’t wait to meet Colin. I first got to hang out with them both on the beach in swimsuits for their engagement session and got to know their goofy fun-loving relationship then and got a sneak into what wedding day was going to be like: a low key affair filled with sarcasm and beers.

What will remain with me from this wedding is how much these families enjoyed this day. You can tell just from this snapshot of one day that the parents, siblings and friends really just love hanging out together. Initially, these two rad humans heavily considered eloping but they love their Florida support system so they decided to honor their friends and family with a more local affair. This day still had all the vibes of an elopement: a low key bride who just wants to dance and celebrate, a short personal ceremony and a no frills reception with cocktails and good times.
