I have known Jeff a since my college days! We both went to Duke together and ran in similar circles. In fact, he and my hubby were in the same fraternity! When he and his fiance Michelle reached out for engagement photos, I was over the moon excited! We had a little scheduling snafu since nearly every single afternoon in summer calls for thunderstorms but thanks to some quick rescheduling, we were able to get a lovely afternoon in Old Town Alexandria together! These two live right around the corner and Jeff happened to propose right at Hank’s Oyster Bar so it stands to reason that their sunset engagement would start where he asked for her hand!

These two showed me around Alexandria and told me all about their proposal story. It was quite literally a walk down memory lane! After our walk to the waterfront, we decided to pop into a hotel to grab a few cocktails…. for two hours! Time really flies when you’re around these two! They love a good time and are so easy going! We talked about everything from wedding planning to adopting puppies!! I loved every minute in front of and out from behind the camera with these two.
