Even though these two are technically based in Charlotte, they are a D.C. couple through and through! Alex and Billy grew their relationship in this city so they wanted to honor their beginning with a classic DC engagement session. They knew they wanted monuments at sunrise and since Jefferson is under construction, we headed to Lincoln for some marble and city views. We even saw 3 helicopters land on the mall during our session! We waved at some pretty important people during take off.

This session was the first touch of fall in the district so I just loved these colors and this weather! Billy actually commutes back and forth for work from DC to NC so it’s a treat every time he gets to spend an extended weekend with Alex. He actually proposed while the two were traveling in Portugal (100% on my travel list!). Here are my favorite images from their DC engagement session!
