From the minute I hopped on the phone with Allyson, I knew this would be one of my favorite weddings to capture. Not only her style but also her vivacious personality made this an elegant affair that was an overwhelming treat to attend and photograph. She described Jon as the strong silent type and I think everyone that knows him would agree. These two are perfect counterparts and I firmly believe that opposites make the best matches. Actions speak way louder than words and although Jon isn’t much of a talker, it’s clear how much Jon adores Ally in just the way he looks at her. Ally and Jon started their day getting ready in  a charming hotel in Alexandria, Virginia before heading to their church in Temple Hills, Maryland to get married. We then crossed into D.C. city lines to stop at the Capitol to snap a few portraits. We got super lucky with the light and due to the weather, we had fewer tourists than normal which was such a blessing! I just love all these neutral tones that Ally envisioned for her day. We ended the wonderful affair at Charlie Palmer Steak House where this bride chose to have statement greenery at long tables lit by hanging candles. Here are my favorite snaps of their classic DC wedding!  Vendors
