Irene and Matt had big plans to have a grand wedding in Pennsylvania this year but, like everyone wedding planning in 2020, COVID had other plans. These two pushed back their bigger celebration but still wanted to make things official. After hatting with these two, they knew they wanted their friends and family to be able to witness (and hear) their ceremony so they made a virtual appointment with the DC courthouse to get married via officiant online!! They had a live link to their wedding and got married inside their apartment as the only two people actually present (as opposed to virtually). How romantic is that? They then took a short ride to Meridian Hill Park to commemorate the occasion with a few portraits in the city they call home. It was 99 degrees during these summer portraits but they barely noticed the heat as they were having a blast with the photos! Who says you can’t take photos at high noon? Here are my favorite snaps from their July Meridian Hill Park elopement. Cheers to the newlyweds!
