Katie and Mike had planned a grand ole’ traditional Southern wedding in Atlanta for 2020. Once COVID appeared, the two knew they didn’t want to wait another year to call one another husband and wife. These two decided to tie the knot with only their parents present at one of Virginia’s premier hotels that boasts one of the best restaurants in the world- The Inn at Little Washington. These two rented the Carter House and were able to enjoy it as a bit of a honeymoon as well. You should SEE the bathroom… talk about amazing tubs. Katie got ready with her parents upstairs and Mike got dressed in the parlor just feet from the back patio where they said “I do.” Katie Facetimed family as she was getting ready and even requested a photo with the marriage license as a very excited lawyer is want to do! Katie walked out into the courtyard to the theme of West Wing (could I love this couple any more??) and they father’s recited readings to wish them well. Afterwards, all 6 of them, bride and groom included, shared a champagne toast before walking around the property. Storm clouds and sounds rolled in just as we finished portraits. Talk abut great luck! They ended the night with a private meal which was sure to be a dining highlight of their lives. Here are some of my favorite snaps that tell the story of their day. CONGRATS you two!

Hi.. how much would a wedding for about 40 people cost at the inn? Food and open bar, and DJ plus 3 rooms for bride groom and the 2 parents/in-laws . I’m thinking mid October.

    Thanks
