What do you do when you planned a New Years Eve wedding and then a global pandemic forces you to cancel? Pivot to an all outdoor winery wedding of course?

Karly and AJ planned a chic Willard Hotel wedding in the heart of DC complete with all the champagne you can drink and an epic ball drop once the news of COVID-19 spread, we all know the story all too well. Capacity limitations and mask mandates turned their New Years soiree into an at home pajama party. Their planner, Rachel Rice with the One Moment Events, sprung into action to replan a new vision for this fabulous pair. As new regulations started to unfold, it became clear that this lavish DC hotel wedding was transforming into a colorful winery bash just south over the border in Charlottesville Virginia. Bride Karly would never shy away from style and decided to embrace the new colorful vineyard vision that Rachel cooked up. A different linen and setting for each tablescape and a tent dripping in vibrant blooms made these guests forget New Years was even an option. These two had tons of personal touches: their college drink as a welcome beverage, three customized bars and every physical detail from the invitation suite to the groom’s shoes were bursting with style. The NK’s prove that you should embrace the pivot plan and can throw a fabulous wedding in any season!
