Lara & Louis are back on the blog! A few months back, I did puppy announcement photos for the pair… Yes, that is a real thing. This time around, I was able to snap my bestie’s engagement photos as well! While I am super sad I will not be shooting their wedding this winter it is for a dang good reason: I am extremely honored to say that I can’t shoot the D’Lando wedding because I will be standing up alongside Lara as she says I do! Being a bridesmaid is one of the highest honors a girl can receive and I am thrilled to be included in such an awesome group of gals. 

This adorable pair met through Louis’ cousin- a close friend of Lara’s. It is written in the stars when you already love a family member of your intended. Now in the digital age, I feel like this story is super rare! Phone apps and websites run the dating game in 2016 so it’s almost funny that these two would meet through mutual friends in real life. Lara will soon be a permanent part of the D’Lando Family! 

The way Louis proposed to Lara was incredibly sweet. He took Lara to the beach this spring to take a walk. When they arrived, he played the exact same Coldplay song he heard the first time he saw Lara when she walked in for their first date. With tears streaming down her face, she couldn’t wait to say yes! Louis had her whole family waiting for them at the Sundy House in Delray Beach, Florida to celebrate the momentous occasion. There is so much happiness and light surrounding these two individuals that they are just a joy to be around. 

Since Lara went to Atlantic High School (with me!) and Louis went to Pope John Paul down the road in Boca Raton, we took photos near both stomping grounds. We walked the avenue to snap a few shots on Atlantic Ave and were able to sneak into the Colony Hotel for some pictures as well! It is overwhelmingly apparent how Louis adores Lara- what other guy would volunteer for more than one photo shoot?! The two will tie the knot this winter at the Flagler Museum in Palm Beach this January. Only a few months until #LouisDlandstheGirl. Here are a few of my favorite shots from the day:
