The Fairmont DC Hotel Wedding | Luxury Washington DC Georgetown Wedding

I met Danielle and Doug in 2019 for their DC springtime engagement session at the Washington National Cathedral. I suggested this garden because Danielle asked for locations with a fairytale vibe. She explained she was going for a Beauty and the Beast theme. Immediately I had visions of her in a giant yellow dress with cosplay vibes. Thankfully, when I showed up to meet these two I was extremely relieved to find that the engagement and wedding Disney theme was only a subtle nod to the movie. If you’re looking for ideas on how to theme a wedding correctly, Danielle is the expert. Their wedding had all the classic elements infused with some Disney Magic: A Tale as Old As Time photobooth, custom mirrors, a waltz, Beauty and the Beast custom cocktails and the signature red rose in all the blooms throughout the ceremony and personal blooms. It’s safe to say that if you weren’t looking for the theme, this would be just a timeless, classic affair! This wedding was a breeze to capture. Both Danielle and Doug got ready at the Fairmont, shared a first look in the lobby, snapped portraits around the property, got married in the Colonnade room and hosted their reception in the ballroom downstairs! There was no transportation necessary the whole day which gave us ample time for pictures and allowed for some downtime for the bride and groom… couples take note! I loved every second but I will say the Maid of Honor speech was insanely hilarious that it had both Danielle and Doug in stitches which made for fabulous toast photos.
