I truly feel like people can never escape their childhood. For me, this is a fantastic thing! Bianca reached out to me through a mutual friend from my high school! I went to Atlantic High together in South Florida with our mutual gal pal Jackie Erdo. I just love that the people I was friends with at home are still in my corner despite that it has been ten long years since 2007!
Bianca and Brian are true sweethearts. I met them for coffee in Georgetown to discuss their low-key summer wedding. We shared a rainy day café day and chatted for over an hour about how they met, travel adventures and day of details. Brian and I swapped stories of our times abroad and Bianca and I traded teacher sagas! I just fell in love with the way they described their wedding vision: it was so genuine and all about spending time celebrating with family and close friends.
When picking an engagement spot, the two knew they wanted pictures at a place that was special to them. We played around with the idea of Catholic or the Franciscan Monastery but landed on the National Gallery of Art and the mall. The two have built their life in this city and toured me around the West building during our shoot! I had never been so I loved shooting in a new location! We also got lucky and were able to jump on the carousel right before it closed! We wandered around the Smithsonian gardens right before ending our sunset on the lawn in front of the Washington Monument.
Bianca and Brian will tie the knot on June 18th of this year in DC! I can’t wait to celebrate with them and capture their big day!
