These two broke the glass in front of friends and family in an elegant wedding ceremony that made the Wharf one of my new favorite DC locations! Not only do these two have impeccable taste but they are insanely lovely human beings. I think Emily & Toby are the chairpeople of my fan club. Every post, every new scary step in my business, these two support it full throttle. I am so thankful that we were brought together this year and I actually am having post-wedding depression that this soirée is over.
We began the day at the Intercontinental in DC. It was a chilly day but Emily & her friends were game for portraits outside on this blustery day! Emily & Toby did their first look on the balcony overlooking the Wharf and then walked with all of their friends to the Dockmaster’s building. We had to pop in and out of the offices to make sure we didn’t freeze our tails off! The two the got married at sunset underneath a cherry blossom inspired chuppah. After Toby’s mom sang and the two exchanged vows, Emily said, “Uhh, Yeah!” instead of “I Do” to seal the deal! The reception was made complete with custom cocktails, a ton of dancing and late night food! You know it’s a good time when the photographer stays 2 hours after her shift to celebrate! Here are my favorite snaps from the day!
