Truth be told, this blog post is a little overwhelming to write! Going to Morocco has been a dream of mine for over a decade and it feels surreal that I am reflecting on the experience today. We really only had 4 full days in Marrakech (plus one day dedicated to travel) but it felt like way longer than a week because we packed EVERYTHING in! Below is all my travel advice for this stunning city!

When B arrived for her boudoir appointment, I nearly stopped breathing! Since most of my clients book me online, I rarely know what they look like before they arrive at my studio. B looked like she stepped straight out of a magazine! I felt more like I was shooting a model than an actual client!

Kelly & David’s elopement was a breath of fresh air. There were 15 people in attendance (including myself) but their love filled the entire historic garden. Kelly got ready with the women in her life at the Four Seasons in Georgetown before first seeing her groom at the Tudor Place Historic House & Garden.

Twice a year, I offer family mini sessions: once at the holidays and once in springtime! I think these moments are so important to capture because kiddos tend to grow up so quickly that photos twice a year barely cut it! While holiday cards and updates are important, so are springtime celebrations!

Callie & Stephen were the sweetest clients! These cuties were my 5th session of cherry blossom week and they got the perfect light. Callie had seen my cherry blossom engagement sessions online and reached out for their very own springtime photos. They wanted two different looks so we traveled to the Smithsonian gardens to see the magnolias in bloom afterwards.

It’s a little surreal to be posting this because I have actually known this bride for over a decade. Devin and I used to swim together and “grew up” on Atlantic Ave, a street that runs through Delray Beach. I was over the moon when she got engaged and couldn’t wait to meet Colin. I first got to hang out with them both on the beach in swimsuits for their engagement session and got to know their goofy fun-loving relationship then and got a sneak into what wedding day was going to be like: a low key affair filled with sarcasm and beers.

As soon as I Facetimed Marie & Rachel, I knew we were the perfect fit. These two love hanging out at the brewery with their pupper, relaxed evenings by the water and each other. After hearing about their wedding vision at Stone Tower, I could so easily picture a day filled with good times and amazing friendships. If their engagement session was any indication of wedding day, it’s going to be amazingly fun, beautiful and laid back!

I first met Katie & Jake in my living room! I usually never do in person consultations but this pair knew it was such a big decision that they wanted to meet face to face… even Katie’s parents tagged along! As we sat in my condo, we immediately clicked, all 5 of us! The easy jokes and classic wedding plans were as if I was in a dream.

Ashley & Nissim, what a pair! What’s crazy about this couple is that they actually live in my neighborhood! For our consult, Ashley just walked the 2 minutes to our place right next door! What a small world! When planning this session, Ashley knew she wanted these classic pink DC trees. We actually had to move our original date for this groom’s trip to Israel but our reschedule was met with perfect weather!
