When D told me her vision for this session, I about died of excitement. D and I grew up swimming outside together so we have always been used to being somewhat naked in public. Swimmer girls have no shame when it comes to their bodies so when D wanted to celebrate her bridal bod with an outdoor boudoir session on the beach, I was all about it.

Lauren and Zach are near and dear to my heart. This bride was a bridesmaid in one of my past weddings (shoutout to Molly & Jake) and she loved the way I handled a wedding day. When it came time for these two to tie the knot, I was one of the first vendors booked. Fast forward a few months and Zach happened to be relocated for work which brought these two to live in my very small hometown of Delray Beach Florida! I was able to visit them twice in the past year and really get to know their kind spirits and fun-loving nature.

When a wedding is over a decade in the making, you know it’s going to be a good one! Blair and Max met in high school but it wasn’t until years later that they would pledge their lives to one another in front of friends and family. I’ve known Max since I was about 14 so it was crazy to see him marry the love of his life this winter. While I’ve known the groom for years, once I met Blair, I felt as if I had known her my whole life. These two are easy to love and it’s extremely evident why they are surrounded with so much love and support.

I just HAD to separate this session into 2 parts! I am obsessed with California light and this couple so the amount of photos I want to share is overwhelming. We spent the morning at Baker Beach but we also had our hearts set on Sutro Baths. After hitting up Baker Beach, we went over the the baths to find they were lit with insanely harsh front facing light. We decided then and there to comeback at sunset right before my redeye flight home.

This bride was my college roommate. She has dealt with me during a time when I was figuring out who I was, she has endured my lowest lows and has celebrated my wins and major life changes all since I was 17. For those of you that know Katie, you’re absolutely in love with this girl. She is genuine, caring, smart… really any positive adjective you can think of even if she is perpetually late to most things. What’s even more incredible about this couple is that Matthias is ALSO all of these wonderful things. He makes Katie light up & I think was equally as excited about these photos as I was! 

I love it when clients let me get creative. D is in the prime of her life: she is a successful business owner, single, in incredible shape… I felt honored to be able to capture this time in her life when she is killing it. D also let me get super creative with these images which I LOVE! She is fearless in front of the lens and it really paid off.
