Meg & Dave tied the knot on October 21st in an intimate DC service under the dome of the DC War Memorial.

This wedding was YEARS in the making. Jessie and I have known each other for years; we swam for rival colleges (me Duke, her NC State) but our teams had one thing in common: we both hated UNC. Beyond that, Jessie and I found that we had HEAPS in common. In between He’s Not adventures and swim meets we found that we were freakily similar. Style twins, teachers at heart and in general just love to have a good time with our friends. After college, we stayed in touch chatting about TFA stuff and when she got engaged, I was likely the first person to freak out on social media.

Would you believe that this couple found me 2 weeks before their wedding day! Alex & Rafa are high school sweethearts and have been waiting years to become husband and wife. Honestly, their wedding was all about love, family and celebrating their relationship. Alex cared more about spending time with Rafa and her family then any details about the wedding day itself!

I have known Leslie for ten years. We both swam our entire lives and she was actually my recruit at Duke! In fact, she was my very first recruit when I was 17 years old. As the younger sister in my household, I was so excited to finally be able to host someone and be the “big sis”. I even have a Facebook album that is titled “Leslie is coming to Duke”. Although we became fast friends, she ended up attending Princeton and thank goodness she did because this is where she met Mason.

This shoot has been in my mind for years now. Ben and I considered having a Halloween wedding where all guests must come in costume! Since his brother got hitched in October, we decided on a traditional spring wedding. But what are styled shoots if not a fictional wedding you wish you had?!

I cannot say enough about this couple right here. They are kind, caring and fun-loving people who genuinely care about everyone around them. The first thing that happened when I showed up to this wedding was Caroline giving both me and Jenny (the planner) matching gifts! I am currently rocking my custom Kir2ben hat while writing this post!

I met this couple right here a few months ago. I was assisting on a shoot and it turned out that they were going to be in France at the exact same time I was! What are the odds! Shane and Julie are wonderful hearts with smiles that won’t quit. They share a home together with their sweet puppy dog Taco and have a life of adventure and entrepreneurship. Julie runs Sand Piper and Co and is involved in all kinds of darling wedding projects.
