Is it October yet?! Aidan and Greg are my first clients to book me less than 4 months before wedding day! It’s actually very fitting with their personalities. These two value love and none of the pomp and circumstance that surrounds wedding day. They are having a small ceremony at the Josephine Butler Center which they want to feel more like a casual party & cocktail hour with friends. This may be the first time I will not be documenting getting ready or detail shots on wedding day!

Kelsey and Brett had the hardest time scheduling an engagement session! Either I was busy or it rained al over our plans! One month away from their wedding, we finally had some sunshine and good planning fortune! Allison and Dave are one of the most laid back couples I have worked with. The two met in DC and have lived in the city for years around Logan Circle so it stands to reason that we would snap engagement photos around the place they call home. We started at The Coffee Bar and got super lucky with an early blooming tree nearby!

Ah yes, the age-old question: Do I need a wedding planner? The answer is an overwhelming YES. What most brides don’t realize is that, no matter what, you will have a wedding planner. If you don’t hire a professional, this job will either fall to you, your photographer, your mother, or a team of drunken bridesmaids. This is not to say that any of these people can do this job or are in the least bit qualified for it… but one way or another, your wedding will go on. Whether you want it to run smoothly without stress is up to you.

This couple definitely embodies my ideal clientele. They are a “true, authentic couple” and I was honored to be a part of their day. Amy and Craig said “I do” and broke the glass at an intimate wedding ceremony at the Woodend Nature Sanctuary this July! Also known as the Audubon Naturalist Society, this wedding venue is perfect for a couple that loves the outdoors. Given that Amy & Craig are active hikers, runners and bikers, this location was a no brainer!
