It’s difficult to put into words how much I adored this couple. It’s also hard to believe the only day I had ever met them in person was on wedding day! Ellie & Greg are insanely down to earth. While the two live in the most intense, high paced city in the world (New York) they could not be more opposite of the tense city vibe.

Kelsey and Brett had the hardest time scheduling an engagement session! Either I was busy or it rained al over our plans! One month away from their wedding, we finally had some sunshine and good planning fortune! As Kelsey calls it “practicing not being awkward” for your wedding day is so important if you want to be relaxed on camera! These two were naturals.

When I think about my ideal client, I picture these two. Haley and Jesse are fun, stylish and overall, just two awesome people in love. Our session felt more like a hang-out than work. Haley works in events (hello dream bride) and Jesse does corporate real estate which, as someone who love business and buildings, I am fascinated by. To top it all off, they live in the amazing Apollo in downtown DC. I have been dying to photograph in this stylish building since it has opened and finally got the chance thanks to these darlings!

Tory & Isaac met through mutual friends who stood by their sides as best man and matron of honor at their July wedding at the DC Arts Club. Their intimate city wedding was supposed to be nothing but rain all day but all we saw were tiny droplets here and there. It barely sprinkled on our Lincoln memorial parade as we walked with clear umbrellas in hand.

Ah yes, the age-old question: Do I need a wedding planner? The answer is an overwhelming YES. What most brides don’t realize is that, no matter what, you will have a wedding planner. If you don’t hire a professional, this job will either fall to you, your photographer, your mother, or a team of drunken bridesmaids. This is not to say that any of these people can do this job or are in the least bit qualified for it… but one way or another, your wedding will go on. Whether you want it to run smoothly without stress is up to you.

Meaghan and Dave had the perfect wedding that suited them as a couple. Having been to their fair share of weddings, these two knew exactly what to prioritize: family, an authentic ceremony and a good time. Meg & Dave tied the knot on October 21st in an intimate DC service under the dome of the DC War Memorial.
