Last week, I did something sort of insane. I went to Italy for a week in the middle of wedding season… completely alone. I know, crazy. In fact, I turned down THREE weddings in order to take this trip. For weeks beforehand, I debated whether or not to even go. Truth be told, I was exhausted before leaving for Florence. I run 2 independent businesses, have 19 weddings booked in 2017 and 20 already booked for 2018. After debating staying in bed for a full week instead, I grabbed my passport and decided to head for Europe.

This past June, Ben and I traveled to French Polynesia for two glorious weeks. This was a particularly special trip (which I know everyone says about their honeymoon); however, ours was unique in that, instead of doing wedding gifts, we only registered to Wanderable to pay for our voyage. For those of you that don’t know, Wanderable is a website that allows you to register for honeymoon activities as opposed to toaster ovens. This made our travel all the more meaningful because our friends and family were the ones who sent us on our honeymoon! Every activity, meal and drink made us think of the people who gifted us that particular memory. It was the perfect way for us to celebrate our seven year relationship.

Bora Bora Honeymoon | Personal Post

Last month, Ben and I were lucky enough to fly to French Polynesia on our honeymoon. Through a year of saving and doing Wanderable as our only method of wedding gifts, we were able to spend two full weeks in paradise. We flew in to Tahiti and then journeyed on to Moorea and then flew off to Bora Bora. Hands down, it was the trip of a life time. One thing about honeymooning I did not expect was that Ben & I would meet other amazing couples on our journey!
