These two eloped in DC but it was no ordinary elopement… Megan and Steve dawned their military uniforms for a few images in the Nation’s Capital! Both of these powerhouses are in the army serving our country; these images have such power. It was a privilege to document their love. Below are my favorites from […]

Kira and Ben originally planned to get married in Italy but with COVID ruining all destination weddings, they decided that they had waiting long enough to get married….. since high school in fact! They were prom dates!! How adorable is that? When K & B picked this new January date, they had no idea that […]

Nicole and Patrick tied the knot in a historic time. Not only during a pandemic but also between an insurrection at the Capitol and the 2021 inauguration. What a time to be alive. Nothing couple stop them from tying the knot! They decided to rent a private suite at the Line to have a small […]

Paige and Cameron are quite the pair. These decided to go all in on a micro-wedding this winter to celebrate their love! You can tell that this pair embraces whatever life throws at them. They have seemingly traveled the world together and knew they wouldn’t let a pandemic stop them from tying the knot this […]

This was one of my favorite days of the year. I had never met Kelsey and Nate before this but had been working behind the scenes to make sure it was the most memorable day. These two traded their massive Oklahoma wedding for a backyard soirée with 10 people. Not once did they have a […]

Sometimes, you witness a day that is just so natural it restores your faith in love. This is how Connor and Sarah’s day felt. They decided to get married with only their immediate family present. With a guest count of 10, it was very easy to have the afternoon they wanted without any expectation set […]

Renee and Eric are my ideal clients. They are game for almost any photo suggestion, are madly in love and are cute as hell. These two wanted classic DC photos before heading off to tie the knot in Mexico! Eric works a lot near the capitol and is very into visual arts so was super involved in the creative process which I LOVED! These guys had a clear vision and it was a JOY executing it!

Kelly & David’s elopement was a breath of fresh air. There were 15 people in attendance (including myself) but their love filled the entire historic garden. Kelly got ready with the women in her life at the Four Seasons in Georgetown before first seeing her groom at the Tudor Place Historic House & Garden.

Jenifer and Vincent actually live in California together but seem to be world travelers. These two got engaged in Mexico and were in D.C visiting family this March when they decided to snap engagement photos! They missed the Cherry Blossoms by one week but were determined to get some classic District of Columbia engagement pictures when they were in town so we woke up at sunrise and were met with 30 degree temps and crazy wind! Although this couple seems to be beach enthusiasts, they did fabulously in the cold!

Today I want to share a less glamorous part of my job: behind the scenes. I have to admit, on wedding day… I WORK. I sweat, I run, I sometimes trip and fall. But I will pretty much go to any lengths to get the perfect images for my couples. Every year, I create a folder of behind the scenes images from my second shooters. This year, I decided to share some of my favorites. While I don’t look my most glamorous on the job, you can see the joy my work brings me in almost every image.
