Today I want to share a less glamorous part of my job: behind the scenes. I have to admit, on wedding day… I WORK. I sweat, I run, I sometimes trip and fall. But I will pretty much go to any lengths to get the perfect images for my couples. Every year, I create a folder of behind the scenes images from my second shooters. This year, I decided to share some of my favorites. While I don’t look my most glamorous on the job, you can see the joy my work brings me in almost every image.

Golden Hour was probably my favorite shoot of the Pantone editorial. I find it very rare that couples go for warm and earthy tones on the East Coast so this was a joy to capture. I love the way that these colors looked on both film and digital. Any florals dripping from the ceiling have my heart.

Christina contacted me this spring to do anniversary photos while her and her husband were on vacation in DC. This was be a very special 8 year anniversary trip because it was be their first trip ever away from their 16 month old daughter! The two flew from Michigan for some sunshine and DC eats before our sunrise session at Jefferson and Lincoln memorials. 

Lately, I have been getting a lot of inquiries for Lifestyle sessions. While I focus primarily on weddings and engagements, I will make certain exceptions (mainly for past clients and friends) and delve into the world of family and lifestyle photography. I wanted to create this resource for my clients to explain the kind of photography I do and do not do when it comes to these sessions!
