“I’ll never forget the first time Ryan came to visit. After a weekend of hanging out, we were all sitting on the couch in my apartment when Alison got up to go get something from the kitchen. Without really thinking, Ryan blurted out.. ‘Oh man, I am so freakin in love with your best friend.’ Once he realized what he had said, he immediately said ‘OH! Please don’t tell her I said that! Naturally, as soon as the visit was over, I told Alison and there was a ton of squealing and celebrating. The rest is history.” I just love this quote from Alison’s Maid of Honor Leah. It perfectly describes the kind of love between Alison and Ryan. It is just an easy natural love that needs no filter.
This wedding day was filled with laughter, love and incredible weather. We decided to do portraits in Mclean Central park across from the Dolley Madison Library. After the couple did a first look, we were able to go straight into family formals before the wedding! Alison and Ryan only had one person each in their wedding party so snapping party images only took about 15 minutes! Although images are of course important, these two valued spending more time with each other and friends/family on their big day. I loved it!! They tied the knot at Tysons Corner Crowne Plaza and danced the night in the banquet room next door. Here are some of my favorite images from the day!
