I mean, THANK YOU Saharan dust storm!! The sunset for this engagement session was out of control beautiful. Honestly, the photos don’t even do it justice! We began this session about an hour before sunset at Castle Hill Cidery. It was a damp, overcast evening but the property looks so peaceful at any time really. This is where Michelle and Joe got engaged! One of the first images we snapped was actually on the balcony- the exact spot where Joe got down on one knee. These two got engaged right before the lockdown began so they have had plenty of time dreaming up their perfect engagement session and wedding day but with all the uncertainty, no solid moves have been made except for capturing this lovely stage of life: being fiances. It was extremely sweet of the folks to run CHC to let us take these images after operating hours! Having an empty cidery to ourselves was not only super safe, social distancing wise, but also extremely romantic. Michelle and Joe got to wander, dance and snuggle all over this beautiful estate without the cheers and oogling of strangers. They were an absolute joy to work with. Here are some of my favorites from their Charlottesville engagement session!
