I will always think of this wedding as the “Father of the Bride” wedding. Back in 2019, this couple planned on getting married at the Andrew Mellon Auditorium with hundreds of guests. Once the pandemic hit, Catherine and JC knew they still wanted to tie the knot in November no matter what to Julie of Birch Events and the bride’s mom Karen went to work transforming their backyard into a wedding venue. Two tents and hours and hours of hard work made this backyard wedding at the bride’s childhood home a dream. Catherine and JC tied the knot in a church just minutes away from their reception and rode a trolley with their immediate family and close friends back to a private tented dinner lit by candlelight. The neighbors came over for a brief moment to watch the dances and a live band serenaded this private party until nearly midnight when the newlyweds left via sparkler exit. Here are my favorite images that tell a story of their wedding. Congrats to you both, Catherine and JC. Thank you for adapting in this crazy year and love to both your families!
