This post is 100% about my travel addiction. I have so many family members and friends who ask about my life of adventuring. “How do you afford it? Where should I travel? Why are you never home? What’s your favorite food place in ___ region? Where should I stay?” Well, today I am laying out where I’ve been and where I want to go.

Destination Wedding Bucket List | International Photographer | Personal Post

Well, we did it! We made it one full year as a married couple. Although we have known each other for about a decade and have been together for 6 years, there is something so special about the first year of marriage. I really do feel like Ben and I work as a team, sometimes to a fault.

My Dad The Male Model | Personal Post

The best part about my job is that it allows me to travel. I really think travel gets to towards my main goal in life of being a more complete and understanding person. Seeing and experiencing people of other cultures really allows you to expand your world view and have empathy for people outside of your own experiences. I think empathy is greatly missing in our society at times so I view every travel experience as a fact finding mission about humanity.

Australian Vacation: Sydney, Cairns and Melbourne | Personal Post

Last weekend, Ben and I were lucky enough to check out Yayoi Kusama‘s exihibit Infinity Mirrors at the Hirshhorn Museum with a few friends. You need timed passes to check out the show but even with timed passes, we waited an hour outside past our time slot AND each infinity room inside was about a 40 minute wait. Granted, we went on the first opening weekend but you should expect lines if you’re planning to visit!

I really started this blog as a way to journal. I think that every experience that we jot down online, whether through a Facebook status or Instagram post, is a means of self preservation. When someone passes, you can look at their online life as a type of journal- a reflection on their life. As part of my “digital journey” I want to share my experience with you at the Showit United photography conference in Tempe Arizona.

Reflecting on Showit United 2016 | Personal Post

Hi friends! It has been quite some time since I have done a personal post! That is probably because my personal life has definitely fallen by the wayside. Almost every single weekend in 2016, I have been shooting a wedding. This is a blessing for sure! I love this job with all of my being, but, it does eat your weekends. I will have shot nearly 30 weddings this season which means there are not a ton of Saturdays to enjoy with my “new” husband! This little shoot was our way of really slowing down and capturing our first Christmas as husband and wife.

Merry Christmas from Mr. & Mrs. Tuben | Personal Post

So, Ben and I went to Iceland. This seems to be a pretty trendy location as of late so I decided to write a blog post about our journey! This was, weirdly, on Ben’s top places to visit. We have a pretty extensive travel list that we actually made on our honeymoon in June comprised of the top 10 places we both want to go that overlapped. We want to complete this list before trying to have kids (in like a decade).

Winter in Iceland | Personal Post

This past June, Ben and I traveled to French Polynesia for two glorious weeks. This was a particularly special trip (which I know everyone says about their honeymoon); however, ours was unique in that, instead of doing wedding gifts, we only registered to Wanderable to pay for our voyage. For those of you that don’t know, Wanderable is a website that allows you to register for honeymoon activities as opposed to toaster ovens. This made our travel all the more meaningful because our friends and family were the ones who sent us on our honeymoon! Every activity, meal and drink made us think of the people who gifted us that particular memory. It was the perfect way for us to celebrate our seven year relationship.

Bora Bora Honeymoon | Personal Post

If you know me, then you know I love to travel. I feel like everyone says this but for me, it is an urge. Something in my bones makes me restless. I also love everything about travel: the airports, layovers, bad plane food, everything. When Ben got sent over to Poland for work a week after we got married, it was the perfect excuse to for a European getaway.
