Katie & Taylor’s wedding touched my heart. I’ve known the Quinn family for over a decade so it’s surreal to watch a childhood pal walk down the aisle to marry the love of her life. Good food, great music & a sword exit all added up to one incredible wedding. Katie was the most laid back bride I have ever had. She and Taylor made their planning easy by getting married at their Alma Mater, The Naval Academy, and had their reception at Brittland Manor, almost exactly on the anniversary of her sister Colleen’s wedding that took place at the exact same location! The only thing Katie truly wanted was a big pizza party where everyone had a blast!

It is quite scary how long I’ve known the Quinn family. I’ve known Katie, Colleen and Meghan through swimming ever since I can remember. It is crazy to me that time has flown by such that I will be photographing Katie’s wedding this May! Katie and Taylor met at the Naval Academy and beat the odds of having a long distance relationship. They were stationed in different states but will be finally moving to San Francisco together as husband and wife!

I know what you’re thinking.. ‘These are the raddest engagement photos ever.’ Given my long history with this bride, I knew her engagement photos would be less than typical and super creative/fun. Jen & Perry wanted photos out of the ordinary ‘nuzzling in a park’. A costume engagement just fits them so perfectly.

This was my first time ever shooting in Annapolis! After much internet stalking, I decided that the Maryland Statehouse and Fleet Street were the quintessential spots for an Annapolis engagement session… and boy was I right! We started at the center of town and wandered around the stunning white columns of the house on the hill.

Well, it FINALLY happened.. I had a couple select this dream location for their engagement photos! CAN YOU EVEN BELIEVE THIS PLACE EXISTS!? Jess and Zimri are my idea of the perfect clients- adventurous, hilarious and super in love. When I suggested the inside of a clocktower, they jumped at the chance to explore someplace new.

This wedding was the most unique of the season! Morgan and Jeff did everything they wanted to do their way for their day. They decided that the most important part of a wedding day is celebrating their love with the people that support them most: their closest friends and family. They tied the knot on a super moon Sunday this November at Woodend Nature Sanctuary in Washington, DC. Even the venue was intentionally in theme. Morgan and Jeff had a green wedding: all vendors and products were environmentally friendly. They ever had Vegan treats by The Red Bandana baking company!
