When I think of a classic romance, I think of Rob and Hope. Every detail right down to their shoes said “traditional” southern wedding. These two prioritized family and each other when planning their wedding. Hope and Rob met at Duke and honored their romantic beginning by tying the knot at the University chapel on March 10th. Did you know that couples actually camp out to have their wedding at the Duke chapel? Hope is currently in Medical School at Duke so it stands to reason that the pair would want to take part in this age-old tradition.

Ashton and Marc are a modern day love story. The two met online during a time when Marc was finishing physical therapy school in St. Augustine. Ashton had just moved back to Jacksonville when she got promoted by Tiffany & Co. eventually leading this multi-city couple to their new home in Naples. Marc proposed at the end of August 2017 at The Marco Beach Ocean Resort– the spot they chose for their very wedding venue!

On my plane ride over to Cuba from Ft. Lauderdale, I sat next to a stranger who described how her parents met. She said they were at a party and her father looked up, saw this woman across the room and and thought ‘Oh, there she is.’ This is nearly the exact same story for this darling Cuban couple.

I absolutely adored Nicole & Jamie’s wedding. Having never met me in person, these two hired me on the spot after a 20 minute Skype session and a positive recommendation from Jamie’s sister, Jen. We clicked immediately and from that moment on, working with these two extremely awesome humans was a delight!

Tory & Isaac met through mutual friends who stood by their sides as best man and matron of honor at their July wedding at the DC Arts Club. Their intimate city wedding was supposed to be nothing but rain all day but all we saw were tiny droplets here and there. It barely sprinkled on our Lincoln memorial parade as we walked with clear umbrellas in hand.

Jordyn and Dan know how to plan a wedding. Their focus on guest experience was unparalleled to any other wedding I have been to. All events were inside on this blustery winter New York day and the two did a first look to make sure they had ample time to mingle with guests during cocktail hour! The second guests arrived before the ceremony, they checked their coats and were served warm or cold beverages. The buffet style dinner and dancing was all done in that very room!

I have had a serious couple crush on Dana and Malcom since we met for their engagement photos last spring. I friend and insta-follow all of my brides and grooms once they book me and I really love the way Dana and Malcom live their lives in authenticity. Dana is a teacher in Baltimore and writes poetry about race, love and what it’s like to be in an interracial couple. Malcom is an engineer, cartoonist and fellow cat lover. This couple had a rad wedding that represented the rad people that they are.

This was probably one of my favorite weddings to date. Liz is a close friend of my sister Kristian’s and as soon as she got engaged, K was all about that referral. I sat down on a random weeknight to Facetime Jordan and Liz to see if it would be a good fit and BAM, it seemed like we had been friends for years.

Courtney and Eddie are two people who just deserve to be married. Because of Eddie’s commitment to our country, these two have put miles on their relationship. They have Skyped and bought expensive plane tickets for years all over the states including Florida, DC and now finally are settled in their new home in North Carolina.
