I met this darling couple through Ellese and Dave. We had been talking about a couples’ trip for awhile. Since we’re both avid hiking couples and have Instagram husbands, Ellese and I thought it would be super fun to go to Banff and explore the Rockies. Little did she know, it was actually for her own proposal! Weeks before the trip, Ashley, Dave and I would text about our secret plans. It already felt like Ashley and I were partners in crime so it was easy for us to play our part in sneakily surprising Ellese.

This couple definitely affirms that I have finally reached my ideal client. Stef and Mark are basically the exact people I would choose to photograph all day long. They’re goofy, super in love and have two cats. What more could you ask for!? When planning their engagement session, we considered a bunch of locations but eventually settled on Bear’s Den.

It’s about that time again, another trip.. another blog post. I started these posts as a type of digital journal but I tend to have friends always ask me for recommendations when they travel! Instead of typing the same email again and again and remembering the whole in the wall we ate at a year ago in a foreign country, I just send them these blog posts! So without further ado, here is Banff!

This was by far the best portrait session of my life. Not only was the weather and lighting to die for but Dylan and McKenzie were sheer perfection. I loved everything about this couple and this style. The dress was perfect for flowing movement pictures and truth be told, my own husband is growing a man bun so you can’t imagine how much I loved Dylan’s style.
