Ahhhh the Trocadero. Is there any place more iconic in Paris? When traveling to France, I was just giddy with the idea of photographing Julien & Krystal in this location! I met Krystal through a mutual friend- Mary Hahn. Mary was Krystal’s college roomie is a swim/dive friend of mine from college. Small world! Krystal and Julien met abroad in business school and now call Paris their home.

This was my third time in the city of love & I could not be happier about it. When I was in high school, I never really got the chance to travel abroad. Some of my wealthier friends were taking summertime vacations to Europe and I was left in Delray to tan & mostly just train for my swim team. As a teenager, I longed to walk the Champs-Elysées, eat fresh macaroons from Ladurée and drink champagne underneath the Eiffel Tower…

If you know me, then you know I love to travel. I feel like everyone says this but for me, it is an urge. Something in my bones makes me restless. I also love everything about travel: the airports, layovers, bad plane food, everything. When Ben got sent over to Poland for work a week after we got married, it was the perfect excuse to for a European getaway.

This has been a LONG overdue blog post. First of all, let me say, I owe a HUGE thank you to The Rising Tide Society. Two months ago, I was surprised with a ticket to Paris immediately following my May wedding. After my initial “holy cow I am so so lucky” reaction, my first thought was, I need to plan a photo session while in the city of love!
