Although I’ve known these two for under a year, I feel as though we were meant to be best friends! Perhaps that’s how all athletes feel; we tend to value the same things and approach life in very similar ways. Kelsey and Brett are big fitness fans and live healthy lives filled with good friends, family and good (home-cooked) food. Kelsey and Brett met online and went for their first date to bike around the National mall. It only seems natural that these two would plan a stunning laid back wedding with tons of friends, games and wine. 

As you may (or may not) know, I have officially launched my photography workshop called The Real Talk Workshop. We get it Kir… you’re hosting a workshop. So why then am I writing a blog post about it? Well, I don’t really think a landing page on my site is doing this event justice. I want to really dive in and explain the passion behind this project. 

Courtney and Eddie are two people who just deserve to be married. Because of Eddie’s commitment to our country, these two have put miles on their relationship. They have Skyped and bought expensive plane tickets for years all over the states including Florida, DC and now finally are settled in their new home in North Carolina. 

I had the most wonderful morning in the city with Melissa and Calvin. After tons of location chatting, we decided to take a few snaps at the Capitol & Union Station! These two have lived all over so I loved that they chose locations that represented their new home together in DC!

Well, it FINALLY happened… I got to shoot a carnival engagement! Words cannot express my excitement! I was so thrilled that Sky & Dallen were up for something different. It really felt just like a fun evening at the fair together. I have been obsessed with shooting at a carnival since I was a teenager. I always loved the South Florida Fair growing up and after seeing the Notebook, I was determined to one day capture love at a fair.

I have been wanting to shoot a sunflower engagement session FOREVER. McKee-Beshers is by far the best location to see sunflowers in bloom from late June into July! They have a handy map that shows all the best sunflower field locations as well!
