This couple definitely embodies my ideal clientele. They are a “true, authentic couple” and I was honored to be a part of their day. Amy and Craig said “I do” and broke the glass at an intimate wedding ceremony at the Woodend Nature Sanctuary this July! Also known as the Audubon Naturalist Society, this wedding venue is perfect for a couple that loves the outdoors. Given that Amy & Craig are active hikers, runners and bikers, this location was a no brainer!

“I’ll never forget the first time Ryan came to visit. After a weekend of hanging out, we were all sitting on the couch in my apartment when Alison got up to go get something from the kitchen. Without really thinking, Ryan blurted out.. ‘Oh man, I am so freakin in love with your best friend.’

Abby and Mike are a darling couple. Abby has a smile that is so contagious which is fabulous because Mike always seems t be the one to bring it out of her! We met for their engagement session in Purcellville, Virginia. Abby’s parents have an incredibly charming house with amazing views! We got to snap these photos right before the rain rolled in over the mountains… and what perfect timing with Abby’s hair trial!

Lauren & Robbie were probably my favorite wedding of the year. Not only because they were the sweetest, most genuine couple to work with but also because they fed into my Halloween obsession. If I could plan a wedding to photograph, this would have been it. I was obsessed with every last detail from their back story down to their décor choices.

Oh man do I love this couple. As soon as we joked about going to Space Bar (a grilled cheese bar near my house in Falls Church), I knew we were going to be fast friends. Alison and Ryan are a fabulous couple. There was hardly ever a time when we were not laughing and joking around on this shoot.

I have gotten quite comfortable traveling long distances to capture love stories this year. That being said, weirdly, I have not even explored most of my own state! It is a huge surprise that I have never photographed in Fredericksburg, VA. I jumped at the chance as soon as Chrissy and Randy were up for the location!

I am so so thankful that Becky Wilcher took me along to shoot the wedding of Alexis and Ray. These two crazy kids tied the knot this rainy wedding season with the best of attitudes. Not once did anyone complain about the weather or the muddy grass that went along with it. This is 100% due to the amazing nature of Alexis and the people she surrounds herself with.

I met Himanshu and Shuchi on a sunny Saturday afternoon at the Georgetown waterfront. After they complimented me on my camera, we got to talking and I handed them my business card thinking nothing of it. A week later, Himanshu emailed me saying that he was planning on proposing the very next week after we had met! How fortuitous!
